Our Specialty
Understanding Cataracts & How Surgery Restores Vision
A cataract develops when the eye's natural lens becomes cloudy, causing blurred vision, glare, halos at night, and fading colors. When cataracts begin to interfere with daily life, surgical removal is the only effective treatment.
Dr. Ma performs cataract surgery as a short outpatient procedure — typically 15–20 minutes per eye — using small-incision techniques and a replacement intraocular lens (IOL) selected for your visual needs.
- Femtosecond laser-assisted surgery (FLACS)
- Complex and revision cataract cases
- Multifocal, toric & extended depth-of-focus IOLs
